     Title: Systems Analyst - Network and Information Security

Applications are invited from nationals of Trinidad and Tobago to fill the position of Systems Analyst - Network and Information Security in our Information Technology Department.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Systems Analyst - Network and Information Security will be responsible for protecting the Corporation from internal and external threats that may compromise the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and electronic information.  They are also responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, networks and related infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Responsible for responding and escalating security events originating from firewall logs, intrusion detection systems, help desk tickets and other proactive and reactive sources.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the Corporation's active directory, e-mail, firewall, antivirus, file share, virtualization, backup and network management systems.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on topics relating to networking and cyber-security by proposing new projects and providing related insight for ongoing projects that address business needs.
• Identifies protential vulnerabilities in existing systems and suggests areas for improvement.
• Implements controls across all systems to mitigate instances of data loss, unauthorized access and unplanned downtime.
• Assists in the design and implementation of policies and procedures relating to computer use, information security, disaster recovery and maintenance.
• Works with team members to deploy and perform maintenance on new client/server systems and related infrastructure.
• Perform any other related duties as may be required by Management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education/Training

Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science; Information Technology; Software Engineering; or an equivalent Degree.

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in network, systems and/or cybersecurity administration.  Experience in the administration of business e-mail and cloud storage such as Google G Suite or equivalent.
• Experience in the adminstration of Firewall and Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems such as Check Point or equivalent.

Certification and Licences:

• Microsoft related system designations such as MCSA; Windows Server, MCSE; Core Infrastructure of equivalent would be an asset.
• A level of Cybersecurity and/or Network related designations would be an asset.
• Valid Driver's Permit.
• Certificate of Character dated within the last six (6) months.

Required Testing:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo the following:

• A full Medical Examination (inclusive of substance testing) to establish fitness for the position.
• May be required to undergo a Psychometric Assessment.
• Practical Assessment may also be required.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Server Technologies, including Active Director, Hyper-V Virtualization, File Services and Terminal Services.
• Knowledge of core networking conepts (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IT, Routing and Switching).

Skills:

• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

Abilities:

• Ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Ability to understand complete business processes and their relationships with enterprise systems.

• High level of adaptability with a willingness to learn new and emerging technologies within the industry.
• High level of integrity with the ability to exercise an appropriate level of judgement and maturity to handle confidential matters.
