Administrative Assistant 1 - Health, Safety and Environment

Applications are invited from nationals of Trinidad and Tobago to fill the vacant position of Administrative Assistant 1 on a Permanent basis at the Point Lisas Industrial Port Development Corporation Limited (PLIPDECO).

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains the Department's filing system to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, ensuring that documents/reports/record are filed and easily retrieved when required.
  • Opens, sorts and distributes the Department's incoming mail in a timely manner.
  • Assists with various research or special projects undertaken by the Department.
  • Oversees all aspects of the office's general coordination, including arranging for the repair and maintenance of office equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) CXC subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Computer Literacy Certificate.
  • Diploma - Administrative Management would be an asset.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 Standards, HSE Policies and Procedures and safe working practices would be an asset.
  • High degree of organizational skills with the ability to work in a challenging environment with strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, team player, dependable and high degree of confidentiality.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a full Medical Examination to establish fitness for the position.
